What is the difference between re-engineered and refurbished?
Refurbished means cleaned, tested, and resold. It is the industry standard. Re-engineered is what Flypbox does. We go further. Every device is disassembled, diagnosed at component level, faulty parts are replaced with OEM-grade components, data is erased to international standards, and the device is rebuilt from the inside out before it reaches you.
Think of it this way. Refurbished is a used car that has been serviced. Re-engineered is a used car where the engine, brakes, and electricals have been rebuilt to factory spec. The price is still a fraction of new. The performance is not.
How do I know the device is genuinely in good condition?
Every device ships with a Grade A certification and goes through a 100-point quality check. We also offer a Live Shopping feature where you can watch the actual device being demoed before you buy. What you see is exactly what ships.
Beyond that, you have a 15-day return window, no questions asked. We are confident enough in our process to offer that. Most sellers of second-hand laptops are not.
What happens to the previous owner's data? Is the device safe to use?
Every Flypbox device undergoes certified data erasure before it enters our re-engineering process. We use internationally recognised data wiping protocols that make recovery of previous data technically impossible.

What does the 1-year warranty actually cover?
The Flypbox warranty covers all hardware defects and component failures that arise under normal use. If a part fails within a year, we fix or replace it. No charge, no argument.
It does not cover physical damage caused by the user — drops, liquid spills, or cracked screens. Those are your responsibility, as they would be with any device.
Alongside the warranty, you get lifetime free tech support via call, chat, and email. That does not expire after a year.
What about the battery? Will it last or will it die in six months?
Battery health is one of the first things we check. Every device that enters our process is tested for battery capacity. Any battery below 80% health is replaced before the device is certified.
This is part of what re-engineering means in practice. A refurbished device often ships with whatever battery health it arrived with. A re-engineered Flypbox device does not. You get a battery that works, and the warranty covers it for a year.
How much can I realistically save compared to buying new?
